I had a request today for a copy of the baby storytime rhymes, so here they are! Enjoy! –Miss Amy @ Evans
(To the tune of “Where is Thumbkin?)
Where is (baby’s name)
Where is (baby’s name)
There he is, there he is
We’re so glad to see you, we’re so glad to see you,
Peek-a-boo, peek-a-boo
Dance your fingers up,
Dance your fingers down.
Dance your fingers to the side,
Dance them all around.
Dance them on your shoulders,
Dance them on your head,
Dance them on your tummy,
And put them all to bed!
Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.
Here we go up, up, up.
Here we go down, down, down.
Here we go backwards and forwards.
Here we go round and round!
Ten galloping horses came through town.
Five were white and five were brown.
They galloped up and they galloped down;
Ten galloping horses came through town.
Trot, trot to London,
Trot, trot to Dover.
Watch out, little baby,
You might fall over!
Trot, trot to Boston,
Trot, trot to Lynn.
Watch out, little baby,
You might fall in!
Bumble bee is on your nose.
Bumble bee is on your toes.
On your nose, on your toes,
BZZZZZZ!
Wiggle fingers, wiggle so.
Wiggle high,
Wiggle low.
Wiggle left,
Wiggle right.
Wiggle fingers out of sight!
Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, baker’s man,
Bake me a cake as fast as you can!
Roll it,
And pat it,
And mark it with a “B”
Toss it in the oven for baby and me!
Round and round the garden,
Goes the Teddy Bear.
One step, two steps,
Tickle you under there!
Criss cross,
Applesauce,
Spiders crawling up your back.
Cool breeze,
Tight squeeze,
Now you’ve got the shivers!
London Bridge is falling down,
Falling down, falling down.
London Bridge is falling down,
My fair lady.
These are baby’s fingers,
These are baby’s toes.
This is baby’s belly button-
Round and round it goes!
The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout.
Down came the rain, and washed the spider out.
Out came the sun, and dried up all the rain,
And the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again.
This little piggie went to market,
This little piggie stayed home,
This little piggie had roast beef,
This little piggie had none,
And this little piggie cried, “Wee! Wee! Wee!”
All the way home.
Oh, the grand old Duke of York,
He had ten thousand men,
He marched them up to the top of the hill,
And he marched them down again.
And when they’re up they’re up,
And when they’re down they’re down,
And when they’re only half way up,
They’re neither up nor down.
Our hands say thank you with a clap, clap, clap.
Our feet say thank you with a tap, tap, tap.
Clap, clap, clap.
Tap, tap, tap.
We roll our hands around and wave goodbye!
